Every class starts uneven
Students begin the year at very different levels, and last year’s marks don’t say why.
APTITUDE & ACADEMIC BENCHMARK TESTING
Now launching · Become a Founding Partner School →Two assessments for schools. The Differential Aptitude Test shows how each student reasons across seven aptitudes. The ACIF Academic Benchmark shows what each student has mastered, finds the gaps and builds an Individual Education Plan for every child.
Our Belief
White light looks like one thing until a prism reveals its colours. A report card is the same: one number that hides a spectrum of strengths, and gaps.
Students begin the year at very different levels, and last year’s marks don’t say why.
A struggle in Grade 6 often begins with a skill missed in Grade 4.
Streams and careers are chosen on pressure or popularity, not on strengths.
Why Now
NEP 2020 calls for competency-based, formative assessment over rote exams.
AI is reshaping work. Students need to know which strengths they bring.
Parents want evidence for stream and career choices, not pressure.
Two Assessments, One Complete Picture
The Differential Aptitude Test reveals how each student reasons. The Academic Benchmark, powered by ACIF, shows what each student has mastered and exactly where the gaps are. Together, they guide both today's teaching and tomorrow's choices.
Benchmark every year from Grade 3 · DAT from Grade 7, key years 8 and 10

Short on time? Prioritise Grades 3, 6 and 9 for the Benchmark, the transitions where gaps cost the most. The Aptitude Test is offered from Grade 7. Grade 8 is the key year, leaving time to act before the stream choice after Grade 10.
PRISM Differential Aptitude Test
Report cards measure what students have learned. PRISM measures how they reason, each aptitude separately, then brings them together into one profile of how a student thinks best.
Can I think with words?
Understanding ideas expressed in words, analogies and verbal relationships.
Can I reason with numbers?
Number series, quantitative relationships and problem solving beyond rote arithmetic.
Can I spot the hidden rule?
Finding patterns and logic in figures and sequences, independent of language.
Can I see it in three dimensions?
Visualising, rotating, folding and assembling objects in the mind.
Do I understand how things work?
Grasping forces, motion, levers, gears and everyday physical principles.
Can I be fast and precise?
Comparing, checking and processing detail quickly and accurately.
Can I use language correctly?
Spelling, grammar and sentence structure as used in real writing.
Score ≠ Ceiling
A profile shows where a student's reasoning is strongest today. It opens doors. It never closes one.
Offered from Grade 7. The key year is Grade 8, with a retest in Grade 10 before stream choice.

Sample Report
A PRISM Profile reads the pattern, not just the scores. It shows where a student is strongest, how they have grown, which streams and careers fit and why, and what to do next. Add the Academic Benchmark and the same report shows what they have mastered and where to teach next.
Seven aptitudes in plain bands, signature strengths, a growth area and progress from Grade 8 to Grade 10.
How well each stream fits, and career matches that name the aptitudes behind them.
Clear actions for the student, the parent and the counsellor.
Subject working levels, the root gap and the plan, read alongside the aptitude profile.

PROFILE SUMMARY
Signature strengths: Abstract Reasoning and Numerical Ability. Growth area: Mechanical Reasoning. Biggest gain since Grade 8: Spatial Relations (+11).
APTITUDE PERCENTILES

STREAM FIT
TOP CAREER MATCHES · AND WHY
Driven by Abstract (92) and Numerical (88): finding patterns in data.
Driven by Numerical (88), supported by Verbal (58) for reports and reasoning.
Spatial (71) is rising fast, and Abstract supports design thinking.
NEXT STEPS
START-OF-YEAR BENCHMARK · ACIF
On track in English and Science, ahead in Mathematics, and one root gap to close in Social Science.
WORKING LEVEL BY SUBJECT
Dashed line: Grade 10 expectation
ROOT GAP FOUND BY ACIF
Social Science: reading and interpreting historical sources and maps, a Grade 8 competency that later chapters build on.
IEP FOCUS THIS TERM
READ WITH THE APTITUDE PROFILE
Verbal reasoning is in the typical range, so the Social Science gap is a learning gap to close, not a limit of ability. The Mathematics stretch matches the student's strong Numerical and Abstract aptitudes.
Career Fields
Each career field draws on a different mix of the seven aptitudes. A PRISM Profile shows which fields fit a student’s strongest ones. Interests matter too, so counsellors read both together.

PRISM Academic Benchmark · Powered by ACIF
Every class begins the year with students at very different levels, and last year's marks rarely say why. PRISM Benchmark measures what each child can actually do in the first weeks of the year, finds the gaps behind the grades and gives teachers a plan for every learner.
Does the test meet the child where they are?
Each answer shapes the next question, moving across grade levels to find a student's true working level.
What exactly can the child do?
Every question maps to a specific learning outcome, so results read as skills mastered, not marks earned.
Why is the child stuck?
Analytics trace errors back through prerequisite skills to the root gap, then recommend targeted interventions.
Can we compare and track it?
One consistent scale across subjects and grades, so growth is measurable term to term and year to year.
GRADE 6 · THE SYMPTOM
Struggles with fraction word problems
GRADE 5 · ACIF CHECKS
Comparing and ordering fractions
GRADE 4 · ROOT GAP
Equivalent fractions: the IEP starts here
Four stages following the NEP 2020 structure. Run it every year from Grade 3. Short on time? Prioritise Grades 3, 6 and 9.
FOUNDATIONAL
Early Check (teacher-assisted)
A screen of early reading, number sense and oral language, not a full benchmark.
PREPARATORY
Core Skills Check
Reading comprehension, writing, mathematics and environmental studies.
MIDDLE
Subject Competency Map
English, mathematics, science and social science.
SECONDARY
Readiness Diagnostic
Subject-wise readiness for board years and higher secondary streams.
FROM GAP TO PLAN
Results never sit in a file. ACIF turns each profile into a plan that teachers review, adjust and act on from week one.
01 · Current Level
Working level in each subject and competency.
02 · Priority Gaps
The root gaps that unlock the most progress.
03 · Learning Goals
Clear, measurable targets for the term.
04 · Interventions
Activities, practice sets and strategies for each goal.
05 · Learning Group
A recommended in-class group for targeted teaching.
06 · Review Points
Dates to re-check progress and update the plan.
BRIDGE
Below expectation: focused support on root gaps.
ON TRACK
At expectation: consolidate and close small gaps.
STRETCH
Above expectation: enrichment and higher-level challenge.
Gap ≠ Failure
A gap is simply the next thing to teach, found early enough to act on.
Every year, in the first weeks of term.
ACIF identifies each child's root gaps.
Teachers review and launch each IEP.
Mid-year and year-end checks show growth.

Founding Partner Schools
We’re starting with a small group of schools. Founding partners get both assessments first, with close support from our team, and help shape how PRISM works in real classrooms.
WHAT WE ASK IN RETURN
Run the Benchmark in the first weeks of the year, so plans start on time.
Short check-ins with teachers, counsellors and leaders through the year.
With parent consent, anonymised results help set the grade benchmarks every school will compare against.

Trust & Fairness
Assessments shape real decisions about children. This is how PRISM earns that trust.
Designed to align with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, with parent consent for every student under 18 and data used only for assessment and guidance.
Figure, number and spatial questions rely little on language, reducing bias across boards, mother tongues and backgrounds.
Questions are generated from expert-reviewed templates, so every sitting gets equivalent new items and answers can’t be passed around.
Every Benchmark question maps to a specific learning outcome, organised by the NEP 2020 school stages.
